Oatmeal Raisin Cookies


Raisin oatmeal cookies are cookies that uses rolled oats and raisins in its batter.

  • 1 cup Raisins

  • 1 teaspoons Baking Soda

  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour

  • 2 cups Quick Cooking Oats

  • 1 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

  • 0.5 .5 Chopped Walnuts

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Pantry Staples
  • 1 cup Packed Brown Sugar

  • 1 teaspoon Salt

  • 0.5 cup Hot Water

  • 2 Eggs

How to Cook

1. Preheat oven to 359 degree Fahrenheit.
2. Soak raisins in hot water and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Create a hole in the middle of the mixture and add eggs, oil, vanilla, and sugar. Mix till dough is formed.
4. Drain raisins and dry them.
5. Add raisins and walnuts and stir till evenly distributed.
6. Scoop 2 tablespoon and drop it in an ungreased cookie pan. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Rest for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
