Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies


Chocolate oatmeal cookie is a healthy alternative to chocolate chip cookies, it still contains chocolate chips but healthier.

  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour

  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 2 cups Quick Cooking Oats

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

  • 0.5 cup Chopped Walnuts

  • 0.75 cup Vegetable Oil

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Pantry Staples
  • 1 cup Packed Brown Sugar

  • 1 teaspoon Salt

  • 0.5 cup Hot Water

  • 2 Eggs

How to Cook

1. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Create a hole in the middle of the mixture and add eggs, oil, vanilla, and sugar. Mix till dough is formed.
2. Add raisins and walnuts and stir till evenly distributed. Refrigerate for 1 hr.
3. Preheat oven to 359 degree Fahrenheit.
4. Scoop 2 tablespoon and drop it in an ungreased cookie pan. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Rest for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
