Lugaw is the Filipino version of congee or rice porridge.
0.5 cup Glutinous Rice washed
2 thumb-sized Ginger sliced
2 stalks Chives chopped
5 cups Water
2 cloves diced Garlic
2 teaspoon Salt
0 Soy Sauce
4 pieces Eggs
How to Cook
1. Wash rice in water and drain, do this for 2-3 times.
2. In a large pot, heat a little oil and sauté ginger and garlic for 2 minutes or until soft.
3. Add rice and continue to cook for 1 minute. Add 5 cups water and boil for 1 hour or until rice is soft and puffy.
4. In a different pan, boil water and cook eggs for 5-8 minutes.
