THE SHOPWISE STORY

In November of 1998, the Shopwise Supercenter, the first supercenter in the Philippines, opened in Festival Supermall, Filinvest-Alabang. In the following years, thousands of customers have made Shopwise their shopping destination of choice because it was the most comfortable and efficient place to shop for fresh goods, groceries, clothes, toys, home items, all under one roof. Value conscious customers flocked to Shopwise Alabang to enjoy its attractive prices, wide aisles, clean surroundings, quality merchandise and the fun shopping experience. In November of 2000, Shopwise opened its second branch in Vito Cruz Extension corner Chino Roces Avenue in Makati. Again, Shopwise was received enthusiastically by consumers who lived in the area.

Two years later, in February of 2002, Shopwise was officially declared a chain when it opened its third branch along E. Rodriguez Ave. in Bagumbayan, Libis, followed by the opening of their biggest branch yet, in Araneta Center Cubao, at the former site of Fiesta Carnival in May 2004.

Shopwise’s expansion leap-frogged from what was one store opening every two years, to two store openings in 2005. The back-to-back store openings include Shopwise’s first provincial store in the heart of Antipolo City in June 2005, followed by Shopwise Manila opening in September of the same year in the Harrison Plaza Mall.
